Green & Seifter CPAs Hires Award Winning Summer Intern

Syracuse, NY - July 2006 - Jessica Nichols, a graduate of Westhill High School will be interning at Green & Seifter, Certified Public Accountants, PLLC for the summer. Jessica comes to the firm via Junior Achievement of Central New York where she was chosen to participate in the new Young Apprentice Program. She was also selected for Junior Achievement's top local award, a four-year, full-tuition scholarship provided by Syracuse University for participating and excelling in the JA Young Entrepreneur Program as well as the winner of the Women Business Owners Connection award. She is a graduate of Westhill High School and will be attending Syracuse University in the fall.

Junior Achievement of Central New York teaches students from kindergarten through 12th grade about business and economics utilizing volunteers from the business community. One of JACNY's programs is the Young Entrepreneur Program where a group of high school students form a company by selling stock, hiring employees, manufacturing a product, selling and accounting for the product and liquidating the company, all over a 16 week period.
In 2005, six scholarships with a combined total of $123,000 were given to college-bound seniors.
